Air New Zealand customers are advised that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices can no longer be carried, either on your person or in carry-on or checked luggage on any Air New Zealand flight following an order issued by the US Department of Transportation and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) due to safety issues with the device. This ban is effective from 0500 (NZ time) Sunday 16 October 2016.
Please do not bring your device to the airport - we strongly recommend you leave your device at home.
Should your device be confiscated at an airport Air New Zealand is not able to return your device due to the ban on carriage nor can we accept responsibility for it while you travel. We recommend that you make contact with Samsung directly to discuss options for a replacement device or refund under its global recall process
