Air New Zealand offers travellers a 360° view of Hong Kong
The airline has released a 360° interactive video taking viewers on a journey through a number of popular visitor sites in Hong Kong, including Victoria Harbour and Victoria Peak through to rooftop bars with panoramic city views and underground cultural gems. Throughout the online video experience Hong Kong locals pop up to share their recommendations of other activities visitors can go and explore.
Air New Zealand General Manager Market Development and Retail Sales Annabelle Fowler says the technology allows the airline to showcase the destination in an interactive and engaging way.
“The beauty of this platform is that it allows viewers to interact with content without needing to download an additional app or use a Virtual Reality headset.
“A big part of the excitement of travel is the planning and dreaming phase. Being able to use this technology to immerse themselves in the buzz of Hong Kong will help inspire more travellers to consider it as their next holiday destination.”
Air New Zealand has also released a special one-way Economy fare of $529 to Hong Kong in conjunction with the video release. Fares are on sale now at airnewzealand.co.nz until midnight 31 October.
