Paparoa Track and Pike29 Memorial Track (Opening Oct 2019)

Remote and spectacular natural wilderness, the Paparoa Track offers the best of the South Island's West Coast.

Opening in October 2019, this Great Walk crosses the Paparoa Range. It takes you through alpine tops, limestone karst landscapes and thriving rainforests, and provides breathtaking views. From the Paparoa Track, the Pike29 Memorial Track leads to the site of the former Pike River Mine.
