What is Economy Skycouch™ It's your couch in the sky.

Imagine a row of Economy seats you can turn into a couch after take-off. Clever, right? Comfy, too.

Skycouch seats are just like standard Economy seats, except each has an adjustable leg rest that can be raised or lowered individually. Lift the leg rests halfway up for a perfect recline, or all the way up to a 90-degree angle to create a lie-flat couch space. Skycouch seats are located in some rows within the Economy cabin of our 777-300ER and 787-9 aircraft.

Strap in and get cosy. A Skycouch measures 1.55m (5ft 1") long and 74cm (29") wide. We provide extra bedding, a seat liner and Skycouch kit with an adult/child loop and cuddle belt so you can stretch out safely and enjoy your space in comfort.

Skycouch availability may be limited depending on operational and regulatory factors. Learn more.

If you're travelling with young children, there are set guidelines to ensure their safety.

Children under 12

Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult 15 years or older when seated on a Skycouch. An accompanying adult must be seated on the Skycouch or in a seat adjacent across the aisle or in the row immediately behind them.

Please note, the Skycouch can accommodate only one infant (child under two years).

Infant harness and harness belt

When travelling with an infant, we provide an infant harness and harness belt. At the start of the flight, our crew will explain how to use the infant harness and harness belt with the Skycouch. The infant harness can be used when the infant is lying down or seated on an adult's lap. When an infant is using the infant harness and is secured by the harness belt to the standard seatbelt of the window seat, the infant may lie down when the seat belt sign is on.

Infant pod

Skycouch infant pod is an optional sleep space to keep your baby secure and can be provided, subject to availability. To use the pod your infant must fit within the height limits.

How do I book Skycouch?

You can add Skycouch when selecting your seats for a long haul flight online.

  1. Select your flight. Book your flight as normal. If Skycouch is available on your flight, eligible configurations will appear as an upgrade option when you select your seats in the Seat Select page. The initial price shown is for a standard Economy seat.
  2. Select a Skycouch as your seat. When selecting your seats for that flight, choose an available Skycouch option. The cost of adding Skycouch will be shown once selected. If you change your mind, you can still choose to 'Remove Skycouch' and select a standard Economy seat.
  3. Choose your configuration. Depending on your group's size, you may need different configurations. We offer options for one Skycouch, Skycouch plus an Economy seat or more than one Skycouch, but not all configurations are available on all flights. You can view the available options and total prices then choose what's best for you.

Please note: Skycouch availability may be limited depending on flight route, aircraft type, and other operational or regulatory factors. Not all Skycouch options are offered on all flights, and availability is subject to change without notice.
